Full membership

  • 24 hour library access (£10 refundable deposit required) & self-issue of stock
  • Use of general library equipment, including WiFi, computers, printers, photocopier, scanner
  • Borrow up to 6 books or multimedia items (renewals also allowed)
  • Our range of online resources, including books, journals, databases & BMJ Best Practice
  • Access to our clinical decision making tools, UpToDate & DynaMed (UHL staff only)
  • Use the non-medical "Time Out" leisure collection of fiction & non-fiction books & DVDs
  • Request service for books and journal articles not in stock
  • Literature searching service - to meet your deadline
  • Advice on doing searches or using resources
  • Training sessions to help you get the best out of the growing collection of online resource

Please note that charges apply for printing & photocopying and that fines are charged on overdue books. Not all libraries have exactly the same facilities and equipment so please check before your visit if you are unsure. How to join
Use our online registration form to register now or visit one of the libraries, with your work ID badge, and fill in a form or bring a completed form PDF icon with you.
